Well, to me this song's meaning in these previous posts has been touched upon, but not quite what I got from it. It was an expectation of something more coming a person that they just met where things moved very very fast. Table for glasses seemed to be his plan.... eventually. Feeding their skeptic sight reflects the past failures. |

What I take from this song is that both of the individuals involved have trust issues. It's sort of a sensitive subject, and he's keeping his promise. I think they literally mean watch the fireworks as in there is only air or space between what is unseen besides them. He's relating his past to hers saying that I understand, but I'm different and I've been through this as well. It's scary to be in a relationship when trust is an issue and it takes a sensitive person to work through that with somebody basically winning trust back because the other has been screwed over. So, that is my interpretation. If it's stupid, well I don't care. |

Or everyone just thought very deeply about a fisting song. Is it so impossible to leave a song up for interpretation to millions of people; not telling them the meaning just so they'll be more prone to think about the song? |

In between is referring to time hence the days at the end of the name. There is an assumption that he is going back to the original relationship that he is yearning for so badly. Sucks to be the in-between girl, huh? |
