The Blue Peter presenter was Richard Bacon! This song seriously rocks. I've never been that into Lost Prophets, listening to just two or three songs by them. The first time that I heard this song, I didn't really think much of it but it's really grown on me. It's an amazing song! I've discovered since my friend bought the album that the rest of the album is pretty awesome too! As for the meaning, I believe that jim99 is right.. Definitely sounds like it's someone who's been screwed up by someone lying to them constantly. Either that, or by a false, loveless relationship. |

| This song doesn't mean much.. "Lights Out" is the name of the album, "Back to the Disaster" is a line from the song "Memory" (the first single from Palm Trees and Power Lines) - "Back to the Disaster" was also later used as the name of a live CD/DVD package. Just a catchy introduction to the album really :) good though! | |

@singhertosleep That's a bit strange..but whatever you like I guess :P Sugarcult are very sexy themselves though! Those lyrics are very sexual by nature though. The person whose point of view the song is written from (fictional, or member of Sugarcult?) just seems sick of other people and responsiblities and things tying them down, so they just want to be free and have what they want. Like usual, I might be wrong - it has been known :P |

I think these lyrics are a bit wrong; I might be though. Song seriously rocks, great first single off Lights Out. Sugarcult are still amazing! The song seems to be someone who's sick of being bored and single and alone, so they get into a relationship..yet the relationship seems to just be a meaningless way to escape from the boredom. Plus sex seems to be a theme. Might be completely wrong though.. |
