| Accepting religion when you are born outside of that religion is difficult. I know it personally. And I think the religious don't realize how they look from the outside in. But the people can never represent the faith, only the spirit of that particular faith can represent itself. I don't think people should identify themselves with a faith for this reason. the narrative could be about propaganda. the happyfolk are those who are blinded by propaganda, because they cant see the truth of the strangefolks (politicians) eyes, which show the strangefolks true intent, because their eyes are shielded by dark glasses (propaganda.) before the strangefolks came, there were only Sincerity and Beauty, a realistic life without propaganda. by mining into the place where all good souls rest, the strangefolk had taken the good things in the happyfolks lives, truth. the monkey of the mountain created noise and chaos, representing anger at the strangefolk, and made everything into fire, possibly representing change and revolution, which destroys the happyfolk and the strangefolk alike, so there can be nothing left. jus takin a shot at it. :P srry if sumone already said this an i missed it. |

"fuck... it's weird... I love it." LOL. my thoughts exactly. most of their songs seem very passive or casual to me. its simple, but at the same time it is very... UNIQUE music... its weird. but its a GOOD weird. i think the meaning of most gorillaz songs is in the listeners minds. beauty is in the eye of the beholder. or the ear. or wherever the hell you put ur music. |
