Kill Hannah – Believer Lyrics 18 years ago
This song reminds me of EMS in general; working LifeFlight, I see this tragedy everyday,

we were under the skyline
through the sirens and flashing lights
told me it's no use to try anymore
does it mean that much to you?

Typical of a Med-Tragedy band, completely
gorgeous I might add..

Hawthorne Heights – Life on Standby Lyrics 18 years ago
One of my best friend's ironically lived out this song. She went to see HH in Nashville playing at Rockettown; she was the only one to meet the band. She was in a car accident on the way home; the helicopter flew her to Vanderbilt and they could not resuscitate her. Her boyfriend(who was driving and survived) said they were listening to "Life on Standbye". My band did a cover of this song as a tribute to her; Her boyfriend was our bassist; we sang in tears, "Wake up now; it's over...just tell me it's ok to die." The crowd joined us in a silent revrie of love and goodbye played out ever so tragically on the silver screen. Feb 21 2006; I am going to see the same show; at the same place; and meet the same fate...

The Killers – Andy, You're a Star Lyrics 18 years ago
Actually, this song can be related to the psycho-social implications of sexual ambiguity. One could assume that in such case; the Jungian model of self perception was not fully appearant at this time. Brandon is speaking of a football player he had a crush on in high school. As for him being Bisexual, Homosexual, Hetero, or Asexual; I wouldn't trust a media source. I believe that this experience happened at a point in his life when he was unsure about his sexuality and was exploring new options. Flowers is now married actually; but who knows..

Underoath – It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door Lyrics 18 years ago
actually; "walking hand in hand with him" means that he killed himself in the end to Join her. This was first seen in the song "Patches" by dickie lee from the late 1950's. His references to time "I thought we'd be there by now. I thought it would be so much quicker than this" can be compared to trauma induced hypothalamic tendency in regards to glutaminergic prohibition in the N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor of the neorcortical mamallian model causing time to seem as if it had slowed down; and a minute is taking an hour. This is best witnessed in Near Death Experiences associated with Dissociative Anaesthetics such as Ketamine or Dextromethorphan.

Underoath – It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is about a car wreck; my guess after prom night as this fits with the neo-romantic 1950's med tragedy movement. You will note the obvious references to "being buckled in" and crosses on the roadside as defined by the afforementioned, "Around this turn where the cross will cast your shadow". They missed a curb; he survived and he is back at the scene of the accident to pay his respects to his lost love. As far as the "80's song"; you will find pertinent information from a 1980's tragedy movement known as "Deadman's curb". I noticed that Underoath took notes from the days of old and included a mix between "Last Kiss", "Tell Laura I love her", "Teen Angel", and a new angst emo driven anthem of tragedies regarding pulmonary edema, "Drowning in my sleep". All data thereof physiologically relates to trauma.

Underoath – A Boy Brushed Red ... Living In Black And White Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is displaying the physiological implications of congestive heart failure: My lungs are failing they've both stopped breathing(Pulmonary edema) My heart is dead it's way past beating(Cardiac arrest secondary to myocardial ischaemia). Underoath is a Med-Tragedy band; this is why I love them. They are today's version of the tragic 50's. This is what the Emo movement is all about; silent revries of love and goodbye played out ever so tragically on the silver screen.
