A few things to keep in mind : The whole Son/Sun thing and Jambi being a kingdom with a sultan in Indonesia is fine...Maynard loves the dual meanings....in between sniffs/sips of coke anyone ? He talks in 10,000 days/Wings about the little light she gave to him he is going to let it shine to guide her home........hmmmm letting a light shine to heal and guide someone you love dearly..... (see above) Also this song before 10k days/Wings makes sense in that it is about his relationship of focus with his future (son) into his relationship of focus with his past (mom)....nice transition in my opinion.... |

I love this song. I finally just got it yesterday. As for Puscifer doing anything, it's a sheer possibility. Puscifer.com is up with nothing but merchandise and a shitty logo. Does that mean more music, or is it just another one of Maynard's head games? Time will tell I guess. |

Well, it's pretty obvious that it is in fact about sex. No brainer there, folks, let's keep repeating that it is 20+ million more times. As with anything Maynard writes, he always leaves little clues within the song itself, the title or what may be in order for an understanding to be perceived. I believe in this song, the hint is in the title name itself. It's a scripture from the Bible. I also think that Maynard uses this scripture and manipulates it to his own sarcastic ways (which we have all seen by now from him). I think Maynard ties in a sexual view from that of Jesus in the line "Jesus is risen, it's no surprise," as saying that Jesus is aroused by this heavenly creature that Maynard speaks of in the song. That even the Holy One perceived by so many sheep succumbs to her presence. The next line that reads "Even he would martyr his mama to ride to hell between those thighs," says that Jesus would even manipulate his mother as he has the world in order for a sexual encounter with this enthralling woman. That takes care of the religious aspect of the song. The other parts are just Maynard's own interpretation of this woman, her many features, her ways, and his own ways, and thoughts of her and getting in contact with her sexually. |
