'Tú apellido se cambio' would literally mean 'You(r) last name to it I change' Doesn't make much sense. I think you guys are missing an accent mark on cambio, which would turn it into third person preterite tense. 'Tú apellido se cambió' Literally that would mean 'You(r) last name to itself it changed' If you have a knowledge of spanish grammar mechanics then if 'cambio' was instead 'cambió' then that would make it much easier to swallow. This would mean, almost literally, 'Your last name changed itself' I have no idea what this song means. It's the only track from the CD that I've listened to, but sheer gramatically it makes sense. Plus the tenses start to fit. I like it more that way, so that's how I hear it. Anyone is welcome to correct me (as long as they at least know spanish) I hear it that way, You can hear it your way, and god only knows how it was supposed to go. |
