Radiohead – Where I End and You Begin. (The Sky Is Falling In.) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i think the whole "dinosaurs roam the earth" is a phrase thom likes to use to describe how things so big can end so suddenly...he uses it in optimistic i think referring more to the human race...the dinosaurs were the dominant species and suddenly were gone as the earth continued on...a warning to humans. in this song, he uses it more to describe a relationship..something that was supposed to last forever and be so strong suddenly ended like it was never there before (only fossils remain)... the next part about the sky turning green...to me its referring to a metaphorical horizon..he ends where the sky ends and she begins where the green (ground) starts..she is grounded and realistic and he is exactly opposite and aloof. "im up in the clouds and i cant come down" ..no matter how hard he tried to see things from her viewpoint he cant change who he is...maybe being up in the clouds means being innocent and naive..like the beginning of all relationships..she started to take the relationship in another direction and he couldnt keep up. wow sounds just like my last relationship! you do it to me every time thom :D |

its hard for me to figure it out..i somewhat agree with Loo...but i dont think he's waiting...like when he says he traded his dreams for the memories and they stopped working for him..maybe it means he was waiting but finally the memories arent enough and he's moving on too..just not as easily..."no one ever really likes getting older"..but it has to be done? you have to move on?! who knows but it's beautiful |
