i don't know, pisses me off. i'm not black, i'm not gay, i'm not an immigrant.. but it just does. god you don't write a song like that when your GUITARIST is black man. and it pissed slash off. axl kinda pisses me off in general. well.. more like, saddens me. i don't know, i LIKE guns n roses stuff, but i feel like he kinda betrayed the rest of the band and all. i was always more of a slash person. i know the n word supposedly wasn't pointed at black people, but fuck, he put immigrants and gay people didn't have a right to be in america. what the HELL? |

well davey's not christian. but i mean, it's kinda obviously about self-hatred, self-infliction. or just wanting to get away. but all the while ENJOYING your depression, as strange as it sounds. in a lucid dream, where he could control, he'd die... and it's creepy, yet still a beautiful song. black sails. amazing album. |

yeah, i think a lot of it is just the disintegration of things like you said. a bird falling to the ground.. bleeding.. rotting atmosphere. then it almost seems like it speaks of what it's like when he's clean: 'a day without substance, a change of thought'... as if drugs and all are only short term and then he has to return to reality. |
