I would just like to point out that he says ALL religions make him sick, not just Christianity. There are many religiond that cheat people into giving priests/churches money, the one that comes to mind first is Vodou in Haiti, where the mostly poor population must pay priests for charms, healing, protection, and other rediculous religious services.
Mind you, I'm not really a fan of any organized religion. |

I actually really hate this song... I love AFI for their unique sound, but this songis just so typical. It could have been done by any other band. Where's the passion? Where's the emotion? Where's the beautiful, haunting poetry in the lyrics? It sounds so overproduced.
I hope the other sons on Decemberunderground are less.. . comercial than this one. >_ |

This song makes me picture those gross fake preppy girls who spend all of daddy's money on Abercrombie clothes without any care for what's going on in the world, other people, the fact that their brain is one big corporate shit pile... anyway, it's so funny cause they all have gross fake noses. As for The Blood Brothers being on MTV, I STRONGLY doubt that would ever happen. Even their new stuff is WAY to abrasive to force feed mindless kids. Which only makes me love them even more... TBB, not the mindless kids. ^_^ |

I think this song is talking about someone calling Dave (or anyone) out for not being Christian, and they call him a devil-worshiper and such, but instead of denying it he fucks with their mind and tells him that they're right. "coincidence you've assessed correct, i'm one hundred eleven less than perfection" I guess it's a pretty sarcastic song in that respect.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Hunter singing the chorus. It's just perfect for the song. It really pissed me off that they didn't really have any of the other band singing on STS... it sounded like Dave did a lot of the backup vocals.... do Hunter and Jade have SARS?!?! |

I think the best part of this song is that he capitalizes "We".... like they're not just a bunch of normal kids, they're a powerful important group.
This is definately one of my favorite AFI songs, ever. To me, it means something like all the outcast kids have been through suffering and humilatin but now they're better people because of it. |
