Rebecca Black – Friday Lyrics | 13 years ago |
they aren't saying shame on you because u write shit about it. no one wants to feel bad for her in any way. they are just saying leave it alone. the song is done, people liked it, end of story. isnt all pop music like this? who are you to judge what's good and what's bad. everything is objective but with you it is subjective. im not telling u to stop writing shit about her cuz that probably will never happen but just because some girl wrote some stupid catchy song, that has a chorus which is kind of annoying, doesn't mean it shouldnt be accepted. i mean what makes u think that the world's coming to an end cause a song like this comes around, grow up. |
Rebecca Black – Friday Lyrics | 13 years ago |
uhh u are soo sooo stupid. u are definitely overthinking things with this song. and calling it crap, cause it's not artsy or metaphoric in nature is total crap. some of the best times i've had are when i wasn't a stuck up bitch complaining about pop music. you are probably in your early 20s. and think that just because a song has simple lyrics or is fun or catchy makes it not artworthy. just cuz u are depressed or crazy, doesn't mean u need to have lyrics that make jared leto cum in his pants okay? this song was called genius by lady gaga, im not sure the reason why. maybe because its just simple and catchy and it puts her in a good mood, who knows? but to take a dig at a song, calling it nonsensical, just because it doesn't explain everything in metaphors is total crap. |
Rebecca Black – Friday Lyrics | 13 years ago |
wow whoever wrote this is like 55 years old, divorced, and does a lot of drugs. cause u know what, this song isnt actually about all this crap that you pulled out of your ass. why do u think she is fake? or has no actual genuine feelings, about being excited about the weekend. and you call her a genius. she's far from that, but she makes one hell of a catchy song. her voice in the chorus is the only thing suggesting nerdy-ism, it's all nasally and shit. but all her expressions in this video seem genuine to me, what drugs are u smoking? the song may suck, but her emotions about it are not. |
Alice in Chains – A Looking in View Lyrics | 13 years ago |
you are retarded, first off the song is epic, not only because its a great song, but because it is a long drawn out song. and if you were hip to music you'd know that it takes skill and craft to make such a good song, that is that long. and it just speaks to the talent of AIC to make such a song that goes along with the grinding tone of it. and the video is absolutely amazing, the imagery and everything. the kid locked in teh room making teh clock, and then the girl with body dysmorphia maybe even paranoai watching her body in the mirror turn to any ugly grotesque old woman? how can you not like that, it is really relevant also and puts all other recent crafted videos to shame, it should have won and award. |
Anberlin – Paperthin Hymn Lyrics | 13 years ago |
the video is more like the girl is dreaming the whole time about good times with the significant other in the hospital. but then she wakes up in the hospital, and he's on the other bed dying. u dont know that till you actually pay attention to the end where she opens her eyes. |
Against Me! – I Was a Teenage Anarchist Lyrics | 14 years ago |

311 – Thank Your Lucky Stars Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I remain at a loss for words Apathy I sense in the hurt A colder man is senseless no questioning yet And what's the point Nothing so dull Could ever on Earth be brightened in entirely Just think about it And what's the point Nothing so sly Could ever on Earth be enlightened entirely Just think about it there's two sets of lyrics out there, i dont know which ones are correct, i thought they even had liner notes for this album |
Chevelle – Letter from a Thief Lyrics | 14 years ago |
this song is about an extremely defensive person, and he's always fending off the forces trying to get into his mind, like his girlfriend, friend, family, therapist whatever. and the line "if you ever enter my mind(ever meaning highly unlikely) stay there you'll live- i won't kill you if you enter my mind. know my thoughts(such as clarity) defend it off and fool them all. fool them all- like everyone expects you to act a certain way, but u can fool them all because u just had this moment of clarity. |
Three Days Grace – Break Lyrics | 14 years ago |
lyrics are slightly better than previous album(s), the last album was completley retarded in terms of lyrics, it was just, so damm unoriginal. these guys arent rocket scientists, they keep it simple, that's what i like, and this seems to be a step forward for them lyrically. |
Hot Water Music – Not for Anyone Lyrics | 14 years ago |
i needed the pain to feel a had a connection i woke up to that line in my head one day |
Brand New – Jesus Christ Lyrics | 14 years ago |
my comment is about people thinking the lyrics are we dont turn out hate in factories, when it is definitely and we turn out hate in factories" or " and turn turn out hate in factories. just because your gay and you think that jesse would never be that aggressive in his lyrics doesnt mean you're right. i think he's using factories as a metaphor. whoever thinks he means literally factories and manufacturing plants is stupid. factories....meaning everyone sins, everyone being a part of the factory and everyone turns out hate in factories. i mean look at the world today. whether it is turned inward towards are hearts, or toward outward it doesnt really matter, both ways hurt this machine(world or body) we sleep in. if i's turned toward our hearts, subtle bullshit happens. he's using factories to make the song more powerful towards the end. |
Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Heads Will Roll Lyrics | 14 years ago |

Biffy Clyro – Living Is a Problem Because Everything Dies Lyrics | 15 years ago |
this song is kinda fucking awesome! |
Underoath – Reinventing Your Exit Lyrics | 15 years ago |
this song is about someone thinking they feel too good for their own good. up against teh wall up against the wall. i think it also is about a lot of anger towards god, perhaps they feel they weren't there. or perhaps they are just gettin gmad for the sake of it, maybe they know he was there, but they are just frustrated. |
The Cranberries – Zombie Lyrics | 15 years ago |

The Offspring – Nitro (Youth Energy) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
ok let's just not talk about the crapp about being sellouts, cuz if you listen to this song or this whole record for that matter ists just much better than the other ones, and maybe cuz it's sooo nostalgiac for me to listen to that i may be biased. pretty fly for a white guy was a joke song, they made it off as a joke song. they were no longer really considered a serious band after that record. every song after that was just a joke. and yes they went soft, maybe becuz that's who they actually are now and are not fronting, and that is cool and fine with me. but i guess i dont like it when bands try to be funny, and sometimes their schtick grows old. but this was back when they were actually venting their frustration, and perhaps making a better sounding record- to me at least. but i always try to see others views of this, becuz in this individualistic society where no one knows how to talk to eachother, and talk with meaning behind it instead of 2 second blurbs. everyone thinks that they are right. but what they are relaly doing is listening to themselves talk, watching what they themselves do, and thinking about themselves constantly so they don't actually take into account other people. |
Taking Back Sunday – Good Enough Lyrics | 16 years ago |
this doesn't sound like TBS. it sounds more like the guy from straylight run that dropped out of the band is singing not that other dude. |
From Autumn to Ashes – Delusions of Grandeur Lyrics | 16 years ago |
he doesn't feel alive around people, only when he is alone he feels alive, cuz he can divulge into his fantasies, and his expectations are so high that no one can satisfy him, so he never lets his guard down around people, never content. he's constantly disappointed in people around him so he's only alive when he's alone by himself. |
30 Seconds to Mars – A Beautiful Lie Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Lie awake in bed at night And think about your life Do you want to be different (different) Try to let go of the truth The battles of your youth 'Cause this is just a game life is mainly a game trying to earn other people's respect day in and day out, just trying to accepted in this game called life. It's time to forget about the past To wash away what happened last (Happened last, happened last) Hide behind an empty face Don't have too much to say 'Cause this is just a game It's a beautiful lie It's a perfect denial Such a beautiful lie to believe in So beautiful, beautiful That makes me a beautiful lie- he means that generally a society that we live in is based on looks or how you look, but that is all a lie, it'll only get you so far. Everyone's looking at me I'm running 'round in circles A quiet desperation's building high I've got to remember this is just a game this might just be the fact that he's a well known actor, and he feels like all eyes are on him all the time, again the image thing, but he has to remember this is just a game. |
The Receiving End Of Sirens – Then I Defy You, Stars Lyrics | 16 years ago |
for some reason the cymbals crashing or wahtever they are doing throughout the song sounds like in that game on NES ducktales, where the guy would appear and reappear |
The Receiving End Of Sirens – This Armistice Lyrics | 16 years ago |
well basically vile had it right on what casey said about it. here's an elaboration, there's actually a nerve between the heart/ lungs and the brain called the vagus nerve, and there's the hypothalamus and pineal gland which secrete hormones. and basically when there's a problem between the heart and the synapse(brain.) there's a disconnection between the body and the brain, which many people in the world have, and the disconnection reveals itself in disease and mental illness, anxiety or stress. passive shell-well hav you ever heard the phrase break free from the mold? well its the same thing shell being replaced with mold. shell has nothing to do with energy and power. In fact sometimes your shell that you use to protect yourself from things you don't want to hear or don't want to see, obstructs your way to energy/power. |
Shiny Toy Guns – You Are The One Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Underoath – Reinventing Your Exit Lyrics | 16 years ago |
what's with the gas masks in the front picture of this album? it's also in both videos of my chemical romance black parade videos. I'm sure it's a metaphor for something but I'm not quite sure what/.........?? |
My Chemical Romance – Teenagers Lyrics | 16 years ago |
what's with the gas masks? and it's also in the black parade video. as well as underoath has someone in a gas mask in the picture on their album. |
Soulja Boy – Crank That (Soulja Boy) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
what the fuck is he talking about? he's got some bathing apes? and he's supersoaking hoes??? well obviously, this is some great and ridiculous lyrics about having sex with girls and jerking off on them and "supersoaking " them. but geez, he gives a half-assed half-hearted effort into annunciating the words. wah me. and obviously its some black dood talking about releasing liquid explosions on some girl, cuz white guys wouldnt get away with it. hahah im probably gonna get some shit from people for saying that! but hey im actually not racist! but i can make statements that can be interpreted that way if u read them out of context, and out of character. |
Hot Rod Circuit – Irish Car Bomb Lyrics | 16 years ago |
he's probably talking about someone, or maybe perhaps modern society in general that just stay inside sit on their ass all day with the windows closed, and the some that smoke cigarettes. or not even maybe they taste like cancer, can even refer to the nastiness of the individual he is talking about. and the why can't you go outside, would refer to going outside and getting fresh air or something. |
Avenged Sevenfold – Critical Acclaim Lyrics | 16 years ago |
what the flippin heck, i never understand any of sevenfold's songs. and i guess this song being about the war is true except for hte first part about feeding off insecurities and biting the hand that feeds. i also dont know what bleed for fellow man(broken glass, youll fade reflection) especially the part about broken glass and youll fade reflection. i guess bands will never outright tell u what a song means ever, so we'll hafta forever be the naive stupid people we already are and just hold up our rock on signs in stupidity. the knowledge just isnt out there and people i guess dont want it anyways. they just want their cool sounding music. |
Underoath – Reinventing Your Exit Lyrics | 16 years ago |
well ive listened to the song a few more times and im starting to think that wall might be used as an obstacle of some sort, like u know how u talk to people that might be depressed or low self-esteem, and they talk of how they reach a certain point with other people, then they develop a sort of wall or blocking mechanism, from hiding themselves or their subconscious from other people, cuz they are afraid of being rejected if they let go. thats what I interpret this song as more than my last interpretation, and its almost like god wants to help u unlock this but when u sin or go back on something or lie, u build throw another brick in the wall of some sort. wherein the wall is constanly being rebuilt, and taken down at some times. |
Underoath – Reinventing Your Exit Lyrics | 16 years ago |
ok read everyone's interpretations and many of them are valid/true. I basically think this song is about confronting yourself even confronting yourself about committing suicide. here's what I think: It's round and round You're uninviting, unrewarding And I'm misinforming you Here he's def talking about the devil, being uninviting unrewarding, and he's either misinforming the devil, like lying to the devil just so he would go away. or the devil is misinforming him to try to convince him he is shit or worthless. [pre chorus] We all want to be somebody Right now we're just looking for the exit the exit could be an easy way through suicide, or we're looking for a loophole somewhere, or the easy way out of something which then leads to.....(continued below) [chorus] This is the way I would have done this Up against the wall You got me up against your wall (continued) it then leads to these lines which are the ultimate in confrontation, about taking responsibility for yourself, your life, etc, so basically negating the suicide. Basically the ultimate confrontation to someone is throwing them up against the wall with their wrists in your hands, telling them to take responsibility for everything going on in their life, the confronter could even be god, telling you even that if you do take responsibility for things u shouldnt, he'll take care of that, and you'll be forgiven. Reaching out for a hand that's not there But you're not there, you're not there this is how someone is reaching out for help, but the person doesnt realize that he's the one that's not really there. Meaning he needs the help but he is not open to help so he can only see that it's people not helping him, but they are really there trying so hard to make him see that they are trying to help him. but he can't see that through the depression or whatever. it really sounds like 'this' instead of 'things' but unofficial websites say otherwise |
Good Charlotte – Misery Lyrics | 16 years ago |
i love how everyone who was into gc, has jumped off the gc ship, good it leaves room for new fans, this cd beats all their old shit doublefold, all their old shit was whiny fake shit, it didnt seem to fit them at all. all their hit singles, were songs that had were fucking trite, yah im sure no one ever talked about highschool and getting picked on b4, or lifestyles of the rich and famous, but reconsider the lyrics to those songs, and realize that it seems like everyone has said that shit before, yah rich and famous people do complain alot, and some say are needy, but seriously who writes a song of that shit? |
Silverstein – Sound Of The Sun Lyrics | 17 years ago |
isnt it all the trauma takes its toll, or all the drama takes it toll, not trouble, it just sounds like that |
Interpol – Hands Away Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Will you put my hands away ? Will you be my man ? this is talking about control of some sort, hands relating to a form of control, telling himself to put his hands away. Serve it up, don't wait Let's see about this ham talking about himself this self-absorbed person, possibly another person telling him what is wrong. with his hands away. oh, what happened ? oh, what happened ? saying what happened, as to what happened? Home spun desperation's knowing Inside your cover's always blown answer to what happened, self-created desperation to know something about someone else or self-created guilt like the other person said, your cover's always blown regardless cuz people can see the guilt. |
