Owl City – Meteor Shower Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Because the liner notes to Ocean Eyes read, "All praise & glory to Jesus Christ, to whom I owe everything," I doubtlessly believe this song about god or Jesus or something. Ick. Pretty, though. |
Head Automatica – Lying Through Your Teeth Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Uh, the exact same thing? Terrible. |
Coheed and Cambria – Gravemakers and Gunslingers Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I want to call people "nubs" on lyric sites, too. |
Coheed and Cambria – The End Complete V: On the Brink Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Well. I'm glad Coheed brought a little of the screamy bits back. They do it well. As for the meaning... no idea. |
Coheed and Cambria – Gravemakers and Gunslingers Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I agree with some of these changes. It's probably "So draw" and "Little scarlet, don't you creep out that fucking road." The rest I still hear what I originally said, but could be wrong. |
Coheed and Cambria – Gravemakers and Gunslingers Lyrics | 16 years ago |
That's alright. I'm not sure I have the first verse 100%, but I'm confident on most of it. Anyway. . . yeah. I think this is the second versey bit: You’ve sinned another city Now you’ll pay for the wrong you’ve done I’m not sorry for this, I’m not sorry at all Are you a snake undercover With the wolf or another Just these bad motherfuckers Leave a long trail of nothing Little bad boy with gun in hand It’s best that you don’t go walking through there Now please, a convoy or your papa Because God knows I ain’t now stopping until you breathe no more Hey |
Coheed and Cambria – Gravemakers and Gunslingers Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I see lots of typos in that now. Ick. |
Coheed and Cambria – Gravemakers and Gunslingers Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This is what I hear for the first part, more or less: So go. Little piggy, better watch out for number one. I'm feeling there's a bad wind blowing through there. You better pull up the shutters because lord knows now I ain't stomping through the woods, it's alive. Little darling, don't you creep out that fucking runt. It's best that you don't go walking through there. Now please, don't bother knocking because God's knows I ain't now stoping until you breathe no Hey Would I miss you, one and the same? Just give it the push while I kick start There's just no time for this, Come on, it's just the herd I'm looking for. Don't want to live no more. You've got the gun, I've got the bullets Don't want to live no more. Well baby be my lover, go on and pull that trigger. |
Coheed and Cambria – Feathers Lyrics | 16 years ago |
"Hide your feathers in your back porch, lady, to old, you know, to cry your sorry eyes" is what I hear for the second |
Coheed and Cambria – The Hound (Of Blood and Rank) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I think the last verse with "You got another thing" is changed to "you've got another way." |
Coheed and Cambria – The Hound (Of Blood and Rank) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
The "Woah oh oh oh" stuff or the weird "tuh tuh duh duh" noises? I can hear things like that. I think it's just vocalizing. |
Coheed and Cambria – The Hound (Of Blood and Rank) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
By the way, when lyric hunting I find the best thing is to slow down the speed by 25 percent in audacity. For some reason now I'm also hearing "I couldn't hear a cough below." |
Coheed and Cambria – The Hound (Of Blood and Rank) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I can "I'll dig it till we've made your grave" too. But I can also hear other things like "I'll give you till we've made your way." "I'm digging till we've made your grave." But I do agree, it's very hard to hear a g sound at the end if there is one. Having said that, Claudio does pronounce things weird and has a tendency to tack on extra sounds. Just listen to In Keeping Secrets (the song). The pioioiaiaiianeearrs. |
Coheed and Cambria – The Hound (Of Blood and Rank) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I don't even think that makes sense, Alex. Lol. Claudio has written some weird lyrics, but they're all understandable. I can hear "Only you're in for that labor of use" but I can't hear "evil" at all, even if I want to. There's definitely an F sound in there somewhere. |
Coheed and Cambria – The Hound (Of Blood and Rank) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I'm still saying that "Only your evil that they refuse. Suprise, boy, this tide's come to turning." is "Only more painful, that labour refused. Surprise, boy, this tide's come turning." I also think that all the verses that start "come on, come on" say "you gotta give it to me." No deal part. And maybe it's "I swear you wanted to" instead of "As well you wanted to." |
Coheed and Cambria – The Hound (Of Blood and Rank) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's so not "your evil that they refuse." I think you had it right with labor of use. Or at least had the use part right. Perhaps it could be "that labour refused" but he definitely doesn't say a "your" before that if you'll listen right after he says painful. Or something. Maybe that makes sense. |
Coheed and Cambria – The Hound (Of Blood and Rank) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I agree with Alex on "That labor of use." I was about to post that, actually. By the way, thanks for the link. Album version is awesome. |
Coheed and Cambria – The Hound (Of Blood and Rank) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Where did you people who gave album versions get it? :O |
Coheed and Cambria – The Hound (Of Blood and Rank) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Unbelievably awesome song. I can't wait to hear the studio version of this. I'm glad to hear Coheed returning to the passion and emotion that seemed to be missing on much of Good Apollo I. |
Coheed and Cambria – The End Complete I: The Fall of House Atlantic Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Lol. "Resources." Some website got an advance copy and did a song by song review. They mentioned this song was instrumental. I'd imagine that's your resource. |
The Used – Find a Way Lyrics | 17 years ago |
The sounds remind me of a casino. |
The Used – Paralyzed Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Lyric books aren't Word of God. Just because they're presented in a hideous format in the book doesn't mean they should be elsewhere. And before you get your panties in a twist, know that I'm trying to reformat the songs more sensibly. |
Kiss Kiss – College Film Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I'm not sure I got all of this 100% right. If anyone hears something different, especially in the chorus, I'd be interested in knowing. |
The Academy Is... – Unexpected Places Lyrics | 17 years ago |
The way he sings a lot of this really reminds me of Claudio Sanchez from Coheed and Cambria for some reason. I think because of the way he throws in high pitched "yeahs" and "woahs" and "ohs" when he sings and has such unique enunciation. |
Imogen Heap – Just for Now Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I read on Wikipedia that she wrote this song for the OC as a Christmas and Hanukkah song combined, but the producers turned it down because it was ''too dark'' or something. That'd probably explain why it's all Christmas-y. |
Prize Fighter Inferno – Accidents Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This is missing a lyric. The first verse is repeated, but some parts of it are changed. There's something about flesh spoiling, and I think father turns into preacher. I like this song because it's so mellow. Like the Faint of Hearts of PFI. All I can think of is that it's about people being ground up in the Blood Machine. Perhaps someone that one of the brothers didn't want to be or developed an attraction toward. |
Prize Fighter Inferno – 78 Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Wow, I think you're kinda right. You can hear them say "Aggressive! (something) A-G-G-R-E-S-S-I-V-E!" But they say something before they start spelling it, I think. Any ideas? Was there something there in the cheer? |
Prize Fighter Inferno – 78 Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Alright. I'll change it. Any other corrections? |
Prize Fighter Inferno – 78 Lyrics | 17 years ago |
It may be "piggy." That word's kind of hard to decipher. I went back and forth from picky and picking. I wish I could figure out what they're saying in the background during the "I don't want to love you" part. |
Chiodos – Ravishing Matt Ruth Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I'm not exactly sure what this is about. I have several ideas though. An early homosexual encounter gone awry. Child abuse or molestation. Or simply an abusive relationship. |
Chiodos – Quantum Mechanics Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I think anyone who likes this song, and most of Chiodos, would really like Coheed and Cambria. Especially their album the Second Stage Turbine Blade. Like many of their songs, I think this is mostly about a failed relationship and reflection on it. |
Coheed and Cambria – A Favor House Atlantic Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Someone requested the acoustic lyric changes to AFHA, so here they are: Instead of: "The words you scribbled on the walls With the loss of friends you didn't have I'll call you when the time is right Are you in or are you out? For them all to know the end of us all" We have: "The words you scribbled on the walls With the loss of friends you didn't have I'll call you when the time is right Are you in, are you out? For them all to know the victory's sold" Instead of: "Run quick, they're behind us Didn't think we'd ever make it This close to safety in one piece Now you want to kill me in the act of what could maybe Save us from sleep and what we are Good eye, sniper Now I'll shoot, you run." We have: "Run quick, they're behind us Didn't think we'd ever make it This close to safety in one piece You want to kill me, now I can sense you're angry Let's leave as friends and bid farewell. Nice try, liar Now I shoot, you run." Then "the victory's sold" becomes "the victory song" in the next repetition. Instead of: "Disturbed by your words And they're calling all cars Face step, let down Face step, step down" We have: "Disturbed by their words, And they're calling all cars Face step, steps down Face step, steps down." Then, here's where it gets interesting. Instead of our usual: "The words you scribbled on the walls With the loss of friends you didn't have I'll call you when the time is right Are you in or are you out? For them all to know." We have: "The words, we brought it up before, In the lack of blood, we fall short. Could this be the press of that that weighs Or my life's end, please sing The words to my (once or one), still victory, (song or soars)" It's hard to make out the very last line because Claudio does something weird to his mic to make it staticy, but I'm sure that's pretty damned close. Also, be aware that the "step down" part is changed globally, not just in that one spot. It's not a big change, but hey. That's about it. Oh, and near the end, Claudio also makes a police-siren like sound. I think that's interesting, because some versions of this acoustic demo are labled A Favor House Atlantic ("Police"). |
Coheed and Cambria – Star Cecil Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Supposedly it's actually about a hair brush that Claudio found when he was working in a stock room or something. And it's not dumb. Wtf. |
Coheed and Cambria – Nauraushaun Lyrics | 17 years ago |
No. . . it's oh dear, I miss you. Lol. No lucies. By the way, this song isn't actually called Nauraushaun. Well, it may be. Actually, just let me explain. This "song" is actually two songs. The two songs in question are Origins and Life Without You, in that order. This was played during a live set and it switched from one song directly into another. If you listen closely enough, you can hear when the music changes, and you can even hear the lyrics "life without you." Now, even though the songs are Origins and Life Without You, I suppose that doesn't mean they couldn't collectively be known as Nauraushaun, much like the Velorium Campers have separate titles. However, I'm unsure of this, as that was never officially stated. Nate Kelley did say that it was those two tracks combined upon being asked and listening to the song, though. If you don't know who he is, he was the drummer for Shabutie that was replaced by Josh Eppard. |
Coheed and Cambria – The Suffering Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Real lyrics: Is the word right to say, Even in this old fashioned way? Go make your move girl, I’m not coming home. Would things have changed if I could have stayed? Would you have loved me either way, Dressed to the blues, day to day, with my collar up? Decision sits so make it quick, A (bluff/breath, you can hear either) inhaled from a mist so sick. I curse the day that I heard of the web you’ve spun. You had your roll to play. Hey! Hey! If it was up to me, I would have figured you out, Way before the year clocked out. Though I hope you’re waiting. (Before the year wound down.) Though I hope you’re waiting. Listen well, will you marry me? (Not now, boy.) And are you well in the suffering? (You’ve been,) The most gracious of hosts, (Ooo-ooo-ooo, Ooo-ooo-ooo!) You may be invited, girl, but you’re not coming in. Listen well, will you marry me? (Not now, boy.) And are you well in the suffering? (You’ve been,) The most gracious of hosts, (Ooo-ooo-ooo, Ooo-ooo-ooo!) I may be invited, girl, but I’m not coming in. Hey! Hey! If it was up to me, I would have never walked out. So, until the sun burns out, Oh, I hope you’re waiting Would we have lived as a child would care? With this vial to drink I dare, (Oh where have you been?) Only to cry all alone with your days gone by. (Oh where have you been?) (Oh where have you been, if it hurts you'll be forgiven, pray.) Should we try this again with hope, (Then pray.) Or is it lost give up the ghost? And should I die all alone as I knew I would? (Then burn in Hell, God sinner.) Hey! Hey! HAHA! If it was up to me, I would have figured you out, Way before the year clocked out. (Woo-hoo-hoo) (Before the year wound down) Though I hope you’re waiting. Though I hope you’re waiting. Listen well, will you marry me? (Not now, boy.) And are you well in the suffering? (You’ve been,) The most gracious of hosts, (Ooo-ooo-ooo, Ooo-ooo-ooo!) You may be invited girl, but you’re not coming in. Listen well, will you marry me? (Not now, boy.) And are you well in the suffering? (You’ve been,) The most gracious of hosts, (Ooo-ooo-ooo, Ooo-ooo-ooo!) I may be invited girl, but I’m not coming in. Hey! Hey! If it was up to me, (You had your hope) I would have figured you out. (Where have you been, where have you been.) (Woo-hoo-hoo!) Way before the year clocked out. (Before the year wound down) Though I hope you’re waiting. If it was up to me, (You burned your throat.) I would have never walked out. (Oh where have you been.) So, until the sun burns out, (Oh where have you been.) (Oh where have you been, if it hurts you’ll be forgiven.) Oh, I hope you’re waiting. Listen well, will you marry me? (Listen well, listen well.) (Not now, boy.) And are you well in the suffering? (Listen well, listen well.) (You’ve been,) The most gracious of hosts, (Ooo-ooo-ooo, Ooo-ooo-ooo!) You may be invited girl, but you’re not coming in. Listen well, will you marry me? (Listen well, listen well, listen well, listen well.) (Not now, boy.) And are you well in the suffering? (Listen well, listen well, listen well, listen well.) (You’ve been,) The most gracious of hosts, I may be invited girl, but I’m not coming in. And you’re not coming in. |
