Our Lady Peace – Will The Future Blame Us Lyrics 18 years ago
this song is about the middle east just as much as its about North Korea or Congo or Cambodia or 9/11
there is nothing in the song that indicates a specific war zone.
i think its about our detirioration as a species.

Our Lady Peace – Don't Stop Lyrics 18 years ago
hey, wait a minute! blowjobs can be very deep, too.
if you do give them right...

definitaly about a larger than life love. something colossally big gone wrong.

Our Lady Peace – The World On A String Lyrics 18 years ago
im so happy Our Lady Peace is back. i listened to the whole album kinda off hand, but this specific song struck me.
its very simple and i love raine's voice...
though not as powerful as their older stuff. it seems llike the good old OLP has kinda lost its path in a world where music - especially rock - has transformed, or mutated into a different phase.

The Click Five – Just The Girl Lyrics 19 years ago
i dont know the song, or the band...
but here's a little psych 101 - people who are attracted to things/people they cant have usually have low self esteem and dont believe anyone worthwhile will want them.
i find this very interesting...

Taking Back Sunday – Cute Without The 'E' (Cut From The Team) Lyrics 19 years ago
to both tom down and oldskool whatever guy- listen up, female perspective:
when a type of music becomes popular, more people make it - the music industry an INDUSTRY, after all.
of course you have to defferentiate the good from the evil, the true music from the gay impostures, but lets not forget that music is first and formost about the LISTENER, its a form of art and as such should be made for pleasure and not inorder to make money OR a political statement.
Mettalica had pretty simple melodies, too, btw. and do you have any idea how many 15yr girls loved them becuase they were SOOOOO hardcore?
Take Aerosmith- "i dont want to fall asleep cuz i'll miss you baby" yeah that shit is DEEP. they sold out, eventually.
sure, rock legends are great but let us not forget they were mostly high and drunk and very appropriate for the time in which they made music. these days we watch the awakening of the emo-punk rock/pop scene and the rise of the dorky, scrawny unpopular guys to the front of our TV screens. but what goes up must come down and who knows, in acouple years... folk might rule the earth...scary thought, eh?

Dashboard Confessional – Several Ways To Die Trying Lyrics 19 years ago
i love this DC song although it isnt what i have come to expect from Chris...
still the most important aspect of thier music - in my eyes - the simple and painfully honest lyrics is ever present.
i think this song is about growing up in a world thats cynical, cruel and hypocritical. its about how true love is underrated and how hard it is to be yourself in a society that's so demanding and critical.
good lyrics... the song as a whole - could've been better. could've been more dashboardesque.
