I don't know if anyone's actually heard this song as the band is relatively new/unknown now. I will take my shot at the meaning of this song.... Personally, I think that this song describes the way he (vocalist, dont know his name lol) felt after his last break-up. He had nothing to say except than comment on her beauty, hence the line "you're the one that took my breath away". |

I think that this song is more or less about not being eble to be with someone whom Corey cares about just because she does not appear to care about him, and hence the line "you don't need to bother/I don't need to be". The lines that come after this "I'll keep slipping farther, but once I hold on, I won't let go till it bleeds" tell me that no matter how much she appears not to care, he will keep trying and won't give up as easily as she'd like him to. First part of the song tells me that he has lost almost all hope in himself, and that he cannot see the point in caring about anything anymore. This is best showed throught the second verse "Wish I was too dead to care..." This is my take on it. Feedback is much appreciated. |
