Does anyone else feel like the beginning of this song is really reminiscent of Fred Mascherino's stuff? It would sort of fit the song's reminiscing nature and the fact that Fred left in the fall of '07. |

I beileve the line "Then back on that island " may refer to their home Long Island. and the following lines support that I think. That you swear by You barely can't afford Long islanders hold the island in extremely high regard, we love it, yet it's extremely expensive so it woudl make sense that the "you" swears by it but can barely afford it. That by default makes the you a long islander. And with the choir boy reference I think it might really be about Nolan. "I'm an addict for dramatics" That line might be about how they first had the Brand New vs TBS fued, and then the Nolan vs TBS feud. And the members of TBS are know throughout out Long Island as complete jerks who constantly cause drama. But they still make great music despite tht. |
