this song can be interpreted in so many ways. yeah it could be about drugs, syd, 'pink', a person suffering from a mental illness, someone trying to recollect and talk abt past experiences....anything. i always interpret it differently every single time i listen to it and depending on what state i am in. there's always a note or a sound that i miss....something almost inaudible...and when i do hear it...it brings about a new meaning, new feel to the song. (i'm not just talking abt comfortably numb...i'm talking abt all the floyd songs). i dont understand why you guys are so hellbent on proving the others wrong. jesus christ! its music! enjoy it and let others enjoy it too. everyone is entitled to their own opinion. when it comes to floyd...no one can really tell what exactly they're singing/talking abt...but somehow you can totally relate to it in your own weird way. thats the beauty of floyd's music. thats what makes them so unique. |
