I'm pretty sure this song is laden with a thick coat of satire I'm not a scum dog (i think thats the correct terminology for being an avid GWAR fan) But when observing GWAR it is pretty easy to see there whole message is a joke that parallels the stupidity of the human race. I have a feeling that the members of GWAR, Oderus included are pretty left and that underneath there images they are anti-war, and that this song mocks hidebound, puritanical, war-hawks. If Tool or Maynard were to lyrically convey a message it is our decision too accept that message or percieve it differently, and thus think laterally. My interpretations of the song are not very much different from anything else that has already been said. The spiral of life, the fibonacci spiral/sequence, gold mean ratio. Different colors and shades on a spectrum metaphorically representing perceptions that lead to grey areas once you become more complicated as a human. Great Song, I hope they will come to Denver in the Fall. |
