i lived in different towns of the suburbs of Illinois an then in Spring Grove (Northern Illinois, middle of nowwhere) for about a total 10 years until I moved to Sacramento Ca. I really just missed my family from Illinois until after watching some John Hues films and lsiting to this albulm. John Hues reminded me why suburbs contain its own kind of mysterisnous(i cant spell) just like the country and city do. And this albulm made me miss the country of Illinois. The way each little town is unique and mysterious. Whenever I thought of Illinois i thought of its giant suburbia and the bitter yet refreshing wind of Chicago. I allways forgot my memories of rural Illinois and this albulm has made me want to go back and really experience the historic ruralness of Illinois. They unique beaty i missed.... People from the coasts see the midwest as strange and ugly with rapests, serial killers, and rednecks with awlful accents. It's not true. Illinois gives another example of the beauty in flaws. It's flat, corn growing, cold, and Chicago and its suburbia is becoming more and more poluted each day but still these flaws make it unique, myseterious and historic. I LOVE ILLINOIS!!! |
