Queens of the Stone Age – Ode To Clarissa Lyrics 19 years ago
The last line is:

"Next up, Michelle's my second date."

That is why, when performed live, they once introduced the song by saying "This song is called Ode to Clarissa... it's about Michelle."

Gorillaz – White Light Lyrics 19 years ago
Sounds like the three songs in a row are telling a tale of excess. In "All Alone", the hero hooks up with a girl and has a night of wild sex. In the next song, "White Light", the character consumes vast amounts of coke and alcohol, possibly at a party. "DARE" seems to talk about suppressing the need for drugs, or trying to grab a hold of sobriety while very, very high.

It sounds like sex to me.

Beck – Nicotine & Gravy Lyrics 19 years ago
Doesn't she sing "I don't want to drive at night?"

It makes sense. I mean, he will be her chauffeur on a midnight drive, after all.

The Weekend – What I Die For Lyrics 19 years ago
I submitted this song and they didn't post it. :(

Anyway, I LOVE THIS SONG. To me, it's about unrequited love that definitely deserves to be returned... the singer of this song obviously truly loves and worships the person who doesn't even notice her.

The White Stripes – Passive Manipulation Lyrics 19 years ago
I think the lyric "between a father and a lover" means knowing the difference between a man that will treat you like a child, or a man that will treat you as his lover/equal.

I think WeezDay is totally right... and I also think this song is cute as hell. Sounds like a harmless crazy guy to me. ^_^

Loretta Lynn – Portland, Oregon Lyrics 19 years ago
This song, to me, is about a one-night stand after a night of drinking. Which is awesome. :D

Röyksopp – Poor Leno Lyrics 19 years ago
When it comes to electronic music, a lot of the meaning is placed in the actual notes of the music and not just the lyrics. What the music itself means to you is all depending on the individual, but the music with the lyrics to me sound like a man desperately lost without his former love (and I mean, I believe Royksopp are Danish... "Leno" could well be a girl's name).
