this song is really pretty.. i really like it sooo much .. i agree with killstar on their meaning of the song.. so many things in this song i can relate to... you want to turn back time... but you can't... ---"Everything you think you know, baby Is wrong ..And everything you think you had, baby Is gone " This part makes me this that... she's in a relationship .. and you know when you think everything is perfect... and then you get a slap in your face, and everything just hit rock bottom... and what you had is gone. so many she was sick of her bf or cheated on her .. or she cheated on him... "And nagging little thoughts change into things you can't turn off " not so sure about this part ... but it could be like.. the "what if" factors... you know when you want to make a decision you always have the what if toughts like.. what if i did this or that would it make things better.... or maybe it's the nagging thoughts that like.. what she's or he's done.. and she just wants to hide from the fact that it's happened It's all over but the crying Fade to black, I'm sick of trying Took too much and now I'm done It's all over but the crying ---this part is so self explanitory... like you try so hard... but in the end, you realize that theres no point anymore, and the only things thgat is left is the tears and pain that remain ... sometimes you try so hard to make things perfect... or you think things are a certain way... and then you realize one day that everything is a mess.. and lost.. except for the tears .. and pain... |

| In my opinion this is an amazing song, I absolutely love Kelly Clarkson’s voice. I think this song is about finally being able to let go of that guy that you love so much, and finally realizing that you are better off without them. This song seems like the girl was played by a guy, she was in love with him and all she could think about was him are her being together. She fell for him but “It was cool but it was all pretend”. When you love someone so much all you can think about is them and you hold your breath for them and now “I can breathe for the first time” and she’s over him, she doesn’t need to depend on him to be happy and live her life.
