I think song has to do about our parents excepting that "it's a new day and age." We aren't going to like the same kind of music they did way back when (ref. to elvis) or where what they used to. This song means that times have changed since our parents were teenagers and our parents need to except this. It also has to do with how parents don't understand what it's like to be a teenager. "...but i think they forgot What it's like and how hard it is to be a teenager ..." This may be wrong, I'm pretty sure it's not though. |
