Where I come from, we have old legends about a fiddler that reveals himself to actually be the Devil. He wasn't exactly evil or anything, just a fiddler. But if you weren't offering him hospitality in exchange for a song, he would take your soul.
The Fiddler here is the grim one. He isn't evil either. He want to correct a mistake by getting the boy company, for eternity...

This relate the story about a man who was violent in his relationship (This anger I handle). His girlfriend was afraid of him so she had to make him go behind bars (I sat in your coal mine).
Some time later, the guys finally get out and seek to be with her again. In his mind, he basically OWN her (You should know by now that you're mine).
When he find her she's got a new life and a new relationship. He stalks her because he doesn't seems to understand what is going on (Why is he here?)
He think he's rehabilitated but in fact he try to enter her life again when he's probably forbidden to (They said I won't find you). What he's about to do by the end of the song is probably kill himself (Please kill me before).
A great song wich shows a new way of looking at difficult relationship, it is the point of view of the abusive person of some sort. |

This guy loved a girl probably back at school and he was WAY over his head about her. He gets to be her friend and she notice he's got a huge crush on her. She don't. So she "blow him away" by telling him she's uninterested. She'll probably never be, that's why she's "way too hot for him", unreachable.
Now in the present, he's married, she's engaged too, both to different people and they didn't keep contact and he try to imagine what his life would have been with her. |

I think this song is about someone who commited suicide. I'm not sure.
This man/woman has drawn someone and the drawn person commited suicide, so the one who has drawn him/her becomes depressed and decide to never draw again until he dies. He's thinkin' he's gonna die but in the end he wakes up beeing alive. |

As I see it, it is a man who' trapped in a relationship based on addiction to love. He feels terrible pain by staying with her because she must be manipulative of some sort and can't stop loving her nevertheless.
At one point the pain is simply too much so he write her a letter probably saying that he doesn't want to be with her anymore. Crushed with guilt and the fact that he would lose her love, he bruns the letter because he knows he won't be abble to leave her.
The only escape he finds from this pain is by killing her. |

Now he sees her some times later and she made up a life with someone else. He still love, and he know she still love him so he decide it is best if he doesn't talk to her anymore. The past is just to hard to live in the present.
