eh...the lyrics are actually completely correct. this person posted these lyrics before the version you know was released. i know the band, this song was played back in 2001, and their one guitarist/vocalist, rob, does an acoustic version as well, using the lyrics here. they redid the song almost completely with the harder sound, which is probably what you're getting off of mp3.com. the only real differences are:
rob sings in the background "and i know, i should have known all the times she looked at me. "brace yourself, strength finds a place in me"
and joe now sings "just wait and you'll see you're everything i want, don't take this from me. just wait and you'll see, you're everything i've fought, don't take this from me now"
and the the line about snow falling harder has been removed. it's been my favorite HIPV song since april 2001 when i first heard it. as for it's meaning, it's kind of apparent that it's about missing someone you broke up with, or something of that nature. |

just got home from seeing them at fallout 2002 in allentown..they are so awesome. that buffalo at the end..haha...anyway...yeah, when they played this song i was just like so in awe. its been my favorite song since anatomy... came out....tonight when they sang the words "i'm still trying twice as hard to satisfy myself on my own" it meant a lot because i know i try so hard to make myself happy by myself, but i should really be putting it in God's hands....and then when they went right into "For The Moments I Feel Faint"...amazing...ahh..i love them...if any of you were at Fallout, IM me at JoshsAIMname. |

actually, same to you is a modified version of this song. and personally, i like this song better..its faster. i miss seeing them play this and 20 below...ah..summer of 2001.... An American Classic can be found on their last ep, "Operation: Cut-Throat", on Note To Self Records...you can order it from them or like interpunk or something...Burned is on their old 3 song demo, their Find EP, and their demo from last fall has a new version of Burned and 80 West (Early Morning Overview)...I don't think Drained was ever released to us :(....so just check out "Same To You" which is also on "Operation: Cut-Throat"... www.hiddeninplainview.com |
