yea this song deffinatly has a hidden meaning im amazed no one touched upon yet. this song could easily be about the kkk. first of all they have been refered to as the white knights, and secondly the uniforms were originally made of satin. and also just take a look at the last phrase "cold hearted orb that..." and think about it. |

Ok first off 'true' hippies no longer exist it was a subculture of the 60's. Fortunatly there are still openminded people out there who keep the spirit and beleifs aive.
Second all of you people who say "hiipies suck" or what no need to get a life. It does you no good to hate anyone because hate breeds violence and oppression. But hate is started by fear or uncertainty so obviously you people have never met any hippies.
Thirdly the grateful dead was an amazing band with some very inspirational and philisophical lyrics. other great mind opening bands u all should give a try r the velvet underground, dead kennedys, and generation x.
And finaly fuck you people saying weed is so bad. Yea its not healthy no shit but its healthy for your mind and alot less dangerous than alcohol and cigaretts. I bet you people criticizing it have never even smoked it.
