Overcoats are an indie pop group noted for rich vocal harmonies and arrangements that blend elements of pop, folk, jazz, and glitch. Based in New York, the duo consist of one-time college roommates and Wesleyan University graduates Hana Rose Elion and JJ Mitchell. They released an eponymous EP in 2015, which led to a variety of music festival appearances and support slots for the likes of SOAK, Maggie Rogers, and Tennis. They embarked on a headlining tour around the time they released their full-length debut, Young. Co-produced by Nicolas Vernhes (Dirty Projectors, Daughter) and Autre Ne Veut, it arrived in April 2017 via Arts & Crafts.
