Sporco was a post-hardcore project from New York founded by John Milano (The Catastrophe, Time Out, Driver, Sher khan) and Fred Kraai (Girls In Love). The band was notable for self-recording their music and their unrefined ‘lo-fi’ aesthetic while integrating a myriad collage of sounds and styles into their music. The band found moderate success in early 2003 when they digitally released the "In A Sick Dark Room / Colombo Supremo” single, becoming one of the first ever big ‘Myspace bands’. In existence from 2003 until sometime in 2009, they released numerous 7" records, EPs, and two full-lengths on various micro-labels as well as self-releasing several works themselves.
