The Virgins are an American rock band formed in 2006 in New York, consisting of Donald Cumming (vocals, guitar), Max Kamins (bass), Xan Aird (guitar) and John Eatherly (drums).
Their debut EP, The Virgins '07, was released in 2007 and featured early versions on songs which then would make it to their debut full-length album.
The Virgins was released on Fall '08 and was received with mixed success critically. It mixed the sound of the 80's post-punk and new wave sound with the renaissance of guitar dance-punk music of the new millenium, with tracks such as Rich Girls and Teen Lovers being a few of the highlights.
Finally, 5 years later, in 2013, and with a completely new lineup, the Donald Cumming-front group released their second LP, Strike Gently, which featured more mature sound and lyrics, compared to that of their debut effort.
