Referred by some as a thinking man's hardcore band that in the early years focused on a fusion of math rock, heavy metal and post-hardcore influences. The band described their album "Colors" as a "new wave polka grunge" and in 2011 the band changed labels, from Victory Records to Metal Blade, as they looked to puruse different directions with their music.
Their earlier music is more technical death metal and they slowly have transititioned to a more progressive metal / alternative metal / rock band of late.
