What I think about this song is about is a person who grew cold with hatred. This person was born in the wrong side of his city, the side where you either grow tough and emotionless or die. At first, this person was born as a caring and curious person. However, he grew up surrounded by gangs and criminals and without caring parents. This person had to learn how to look out for himself the hard way. He was basically raised by the streets, and the streets are not good guardians. This person is oblivious at first, so he is still innocent and he wants to do things such as be free and care about others. Unfortunately, he is also involved with a lot of hardened criminals who instantly reject his thoughts (Darf ich leben ohne Grenzen - nein das darfst du nicht/Lieben trotz der Konsequenzen - nein das darfst du nicht/Darf ich sein so wie ich bin - nein das darfst du nicht/Darf ich suchen nach dem Sinn - nein das darfst du nicht).
