This is certainly a song that means different things to different people. Here is my connection to this song.
My son has been wayward for most of his life. A thrill seeker to an extreme. I could not quell his desire to push the envelope. When a young person has that drive his direction can go into two very different directions. He chose the unhealthy direction, drugs and alcohol. Much that he did as a teen I was unaware of until he told me later in life. My wish for him was sobriety and happiness because his two children need him.
There were some bright spots but they didn't last long. His lifestyle took a huge toll on his body. My wayward son died 2/28/2017. There is peace and sobriety for him now.
