Lyric discussion by Idan

Cover art for Never Enough lyrics by Dream Theater

Never Enough could possibly be about us (or at least some of us...), the fans.

About how some of us just never have enough and always complain about what DT puts out no matter how hard they try and how hard they work and never appreciate their work.

Further "evidance" to this is taken from the theme song, Octavarium: "Sixth. They call them admirers, claim they adore Drain all your life blood but begging for more."

That's my take on it... Now meaning aside - Octavarium, the album, simply ROCKS! Not the new DT masterpiece but definitaly stands proud. I love it!

Edit: It seems that my thought about the lyric were correct. Mike have said this on an XM show not too long ago.
Edited by YtseJam on June 8 2005, at 08:40AM

Just listen to the song with that theme in mind and tell me you disagree.

It couldn't really be about family issues
