(Jet, Jet)
(Jet) I can almost remember their funny faces
That time you told them you were going to marrying soon
And Jet I thought the only lonely place was on the moon

(Jet, Jet)

Jet was your father as bold as the sergeant major
How come he told you that you were hardly old enough yet
And Jet I thought the major was a lady suffragette

(Jet, Jet)

Ah mater want Jet to always love me
Ah mater want Jet to always love me
Ah mater, much later

(Jet)

And Jet I thought the major was a lady suffragette
(Jet, Jet)

Ah mater want Jet to always love me
Ah mater want Jet to always love me
Ah mater, much later

Jet with the wind in your hair
Of a thousand laces
Climb on the back and we'll go for a ride in the sky
And Jet I thought that the major was a little lady suffragette

(Jet, Jet)
And Jet you know I thought you was a little lady suffragette
(Jet)
A little lady
My little lady, yes

    Song Meaning

Paul said it's about his dog, but hey, it's an easy excuse to hide the true meaning of the song which is an insult directed at Bowie. He is revealing bluntly that Bowie is gay. To prove this just watch the wings at the speed of the sound movie concert when they play the song, McCartney makes gay gesture when playing the song. It's about Bowie the major thought as a lady Suffragette city, not so subtle references anyone can pick up. McCartney was used to use songs to reply to Lennon and Harrison and almost anybody he had a feud with. Bowie's reply was much later when he discovered the true meaning of Jet, and it was Let's Dance, starting with the Twist and Shout intro. Let's Dance means let's fight in english slang and the cover is Bowie in boxing gear. The bit of the serious moonlight refers to the moon on this song. Bowie and McCartney were never friends even if they saw each other with Lennon.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.
