Body And Blood Lyrics

This grave hill stinks of death
A reek from the ground
Catches whiff of the hound
A dead ones breath
The casket lid is cold
Waiting inside
Is someone petrified
That odors old

His body and blood
Sharing in common
His body and blood
His body and blood
Serving Messiah

Son of God
The bitter taste is sweet
So eat Nazarene
And you kiss the obscene
Anointed feet

His body and blood
Sharing in common
His body and blood
His body and blood
Serving Messiah

His body and blood
Sharing in common
His body and blood
His body and blood
Serving Messiah

Son of God
Receive,consume
Receive,consume
Digest
Defecate

His body and blood
Sharing in common
His body and blood
His body and blood
Serving Messiah
Son of God

To me this song always sounded like someone thinking the rituals of sacrament or communion, where members of the congregation act as though they eating the body and drinking the blood of Jesus, are extremely barbaric and took them to the next level. The narrator is literally serving pieces of the dead body of Jesus to the congregation as the dark parody of a sacrament.

My Interpretation

this song is about the dark side of the last supper. by meaning when jesus gave his body "bread" and blood "wine" to eat, eventually it ends up as poop. basically it. problem solved

They are just taking yhe holy Communion very literally.

When they did their older shows ghost always had sisters of sin come out during this song and give out communion it was like the their version of an unholy communion and like any empowering satanic ritual whether Lavigne or luciferian to me the most empowering acts and ritualistic expressions or anything opposite the church anything to blasphemize them and ghost hits it on the head and doesn't go to an extreme like Manson but doesn't need to and it's in a cool way

And he's mocking it by saying the song consume you know you're consuming the holy Communion but also we consume what the b* we're fed and then we f** digest it we s* it out so basically saying it's just s* in the end it's b*****
