Everybody Loves Me Lyrics
And her friends are standing right in front of me
World wide from the center burning turkey
Open up said everybody loves me
'Cause they got what you need
Oh, oh, oh, oh
God love all your sentimental virtue
Eight balls with the takers that'll make you
Lay calls with the lovers that'll hate you
They got what you need
What you need
Make you say
Feels just like I don't try
Looks so good I might die
All I know is everybody loves me
Swaying to my own sound
Flashes in my face now
All I know is everybody loves me
Everybody loves me
Play the music don't stop till I turn gray
Stars like forever John Sousa never fade,
He had a beautiful child, named Desiree
Hope I'm remembered for the things that I never made
When they got what you need
Like you say
Feels just like I don't try
Looks so good I might die
All I know is everybody loves me
Swaying to my own sound
Flashes in my face now
All I know is everybody loves me
Everybody loves me
Everybody
Oh
Everybody
Everybody
Got my name and got my wealth I
Stare at the sun
Just for kicks all by myself I
Lose track of time
So I might be past my prime
But
I'm feeling oh so good
Yeah!
Feels just like I don't try
Looks so good I might die
All I know is everybody loves me
Swaying to my own sound
Flashes in my face now
All I know is everybody loves me
Everybody loves me!
Everybody
Everybody
Everybody
Whoa! Yeah!
I actually thought this song was an ironic take on fame. If you look at the lyrics from the point of the view that he's taking the piss out of people who are consumed by the idea of being a celebrity, it does make sense. Particularly with lines like: "Don't need my health Got my name and got my wealth" It's a wicked song anyway, whatever it may mean. :)
i agree, definatly think it is more about how he sees celebrities and kinda making fun of them lol

Alright, these lyrics were driving me nuts, so I went through and listened to the song. This is what I got:
Well, hell, she's a shadow in my backseat And her friends are standing right in front of me Worldwide from the cimarron of turkey Open up, said, "Everybody loves me" And you don't have to make a sound 'Cause they got what you need What you need
Got love for the people that have wronged you God love all your sentimental virtue Eight balls with the takers that'll make you Lay cards with the lovers that'll hate you And you don't have to make a sound 'Cause they got what you need What you need
Make you say, "Oh my!" Feels just like I don't try Look so good I might die All I know is everybody loves me Head down Swaying to my own sound Flashes in my face now All I know is, everybody loves me Everybody loves me
Well I pray the music don't stop until I turn gray Stars forever like John Sousa never fade He had a beautiful child, named her Desiree Hope I'm remembered for the things that I never made 'Cause you don't have to make a sound When they got what you need
Make you say, "Oh my!" Feels just like I don't try Look so good I might die All I know is everybody loves me Head down Swaying to my own sound Flashes in my face now All I know is, everybody loves me Everybody loves me Everybody, everybody, oh! Everybody, everybody!
Don't need my health Got my name and got my wealth I stare at the sun Just for kicks all by myself I lose track of time So I might be past my prime But I'm feeling oh-so good Yeah!
Oh my! Feels just like I don't try Looks so good I might die All I know is everybody loves me Head down Swaying to my own sound Flashes in my face now All I know is, everybody loves me Everybody loves me Everybody Everybody Everybody
I'm still unsure about that "cimarron of Turkey" bit because it doesn't come up with anything with I Google "cimarron" and "Turkey" together. But that's what it sounds like when I listen to the song. Everything else I'm pretty sure about, though. I also agree with what the first poster said about "Well, hell, she's a shadow in my backseat".
Let's end this once and for all. Guitar Hero 5 Lyrics, undisputed and correct:
Well hail Caesar's shadow on my backseat And her friends all standing right in front of me Worldwide from the Cimmarron to Turkey Open up say everybody loves me
And you don't have to make a sound Cause they got what you need What you need
Oh oh oh oh oh
Got love for the people that have warned you God love all your sentimental virtue Eight balls for the takers that'll make you Lay the cards with the lovers that'll hate you
And you don't have to make a sound Cause they got what you need What you need
Make you say
Oh my, feels just like I don't try Look so good I might die All I know is Everybody loves me Head down Swingig to my own sound Flashes in my face now All I know is Everybody loves me
Everybody loves me
Well I Pray the music don't stop till I turn gray Stars forever like John Sousa never fade He had a beautiful child, named her Diseree Hope I'm remembered for the things that I never made 'Cause you don't have to make a sound When they got what you need
Make you say
Oh my Feels just like I don't try Look so good I might die All I know is Everybody loves me Head down Swinging to my own sound Flashes in my face now All I know is, everybody loves me Everybody loves me Everybody, everybody, oh! Everybody, everybody!
Don't need my health Got my name and got my wealth, I stare at the sun just for kicks all by myself, I lose track of time, so I might be past my prime But I'm feeling oh-so good Yeah!
Oh my, feels just like I don't try Look so good I might die All I know is Everybody loves me Head down Swingig to my own sound Flashes in my face now All I know is Everybody loves me
Everybody loves me
Oh I said, everybody, everybody Don't you know who you are, I said everybody Everbody Everybody Woah!
i think this song is about being someone in the music industry today
'Cause you don't have to make a sound When they got what you need
this means that theres a whole line of people that want to do everything for you. you dont have to write your own stuff, you dont have to even sing well, the computers do that for you.
I think the song is suppose to make a mockery of the celebrity lifestyle. Everybody wants to be your friend, everybody's waiting on you hand and foot, everybody loves you. And your ego inflates to the point where you think you can do anything. All that matters is that people love you and you have your fame and fortune. I like it a lot. It's a cute, ironic little ditty =).
A stretch? There is plenty of back up for what I said and more available if you look more. I didn't want my post to go on forever. But take care....
I think the song is about how he can go through life enjoying it and doing whatever he wants and people will love him no matter what. And by "cause they got what you need", I think he means that people are ready to back him up for whatever he does.
Some of the lyrics aren't right, it shouldn't be
"Hail Caesar, shadow in my backseat"
it should be
"Well hell, she's a shadow in my backseat"
and "Worldwide from the center of Turkey" isn't quite right either. It's not the center of Turkey, he's naming a place in Turkey. I'm not sure what the name of that place is though, it's hard to hear. If anybody is able to figure out the place, it's gonna be "Worldwide from (place),Turkey"
Also,
"Hope I'll remember the good things that I'll never may And you don't have to make a sound 'Cause they got what you need"
should be
"Hope I'll remember the good things that I'll never may 'Cause you don't have to make a sound When they got what you need"
Actually 'Hail Caesar' is what he says if you listen closely. I can't hear what he says in the Turkey part but there are definitely some words missing here. The second verse goes something like 'Hope I'll remember the good things that are never made'. Good things that are never may doesn't make any sense. To me, this song sounds more like a bit of a rant on fame when you're on top and everybody loves you and everything's handed to you and you get lost in it. The part about eight balls and the 'they got what you need' and not needing my health kinda sound like drug references.
Actually, I thought it really was "hail Caesar" until I listened to it closely. The lyrics start of with "well" on a down beat, then are followed with "she's a shadow in my backseat. When I first heard it, "hail Caesar" didn't make sense when the next line "and her friends are standing right in front of me" was said. Caesar defenitely is not a "her" and he didn't have many friends. The Caesar part is probably what messes people up when they try to figure out a meaning because the first verse all ties together. Basically what he's saying in the first verse is that there's some girl that's so overshadowed by him she has become a metaphorical shadow in the backseat of a car now (which, in my opinion, is a very nice metaphor). This girl is so overshadowed that her friends are now giving all their attention to him, screaming that they and and everybody else love him. This goes more with your idea of the song being a rant, but in addition to that, it seems to be a rub in the face towards a certain girl about how he has taken all the spotlight from him.
As for the "Hope I'll remember the good things that I'll never may" line; maybe he's hoping to remember something that might not stay in his memory for some reason. If the lyrics in that line aren't right then the meaning is a little different.
I think the lyrics are, "Well I PRAY the music don't stop till I turn grey", not 'play'.
And I always thought it was "Head down, swaying to my own sound", not "get down".
But yeah, I love this song. :) And I agree with the people above me about this being a sarcastic song about fame. Talking about how he's so full of himself, and that it doesn't matter what he does, everybody loves him.
