You are young and so am I.
And this is wrong, but who am I to judge
You feel like heaven when we touch
I guess for me this is enough

We're one mistake from being together
But let's not ask why it's not right
You won't be seventeen forever
And we can get away with this tonight

You are young and I am scared
You're wise beyond your years, but I don't care
And I can feel your heartbeat
You know exactly where to take me

We're one mistake from being together
But let's not ask why it's not right
You won't be seventeen forever
And we can get away with this tonight

Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh

Will you remember me
You ask me as I leave
Remember what I said
Oh how could I, oh how could I forget

We're one mistake from being together
But let's not ask why it's not right
You won't be seventeen forever
And we can get away with this tonight

We're one mistake from being together
But let's not ask why it's not right
You won't be seventeen forever
And we can get away with this tonight

We're one mistake from being together
But let's not ask why it's not right
You won't be seventeen forever
And we can get away with this tonight

Oh oh, oh oh
Oh oh, oh oh
Oh oh, oh oh

Anyways. Its an amazing song with a simple meaning.

He loves his girlfiriend, but knows its a teenage thing, and he wants to hold on to it as long as he can.

    Song Meaning

I think this song means that a younger girl is seducing him. "You are young and I was scared          <--- that means that she is younger but You're wise beyond your years                 knows sexually what shes doing and But I don't care                              knows what she wants to do with him. And I can feel your heartbeat                 He's scared because shes younger and You know exactly where to take me:"           he wants to have sex with her but is                                               debuting it because its illegal. \You are young and so am I                     <--- this mean that he's not much older then And this is wrong                              her, may just be a year but it's illegal because he'sBut who am I to judge?                         and adult and she is still under-aged. But then he's You feel like heaven when we touch             saying that they dont have to have sex because "i guess I guess for me this is enough                  for me this is enough" but she still wants it.

Will you remember me?" <----this indicates that THIS ISN'T A REAL RELATIONSHIP. You ask me as I leave it was just a one night-stand because she asked if he "Remember what I said?" would remember her. And also, they did have good sex Oh, how could I if he can't forget it. Oh, how could I forget?

We're one mistake from being together <-----This isn't talking about being together in a But let's not ask why it's not right relationship, it means physically for one night. And You won't be seventeen forever saying she wont be 17 forever so, it won't metter in a And we can get away with this tonight few months when she turns legal. And saying because of that, their going to just have a good time.

Yes, I LOVE METRO STATION! I just saw them live last Friday night... I love their cd, but I'm not gonna lie, I actually like the demo version of 'control' better than the CD one... but, I mean, it's still ridiculously fantastical...

I agree with silverhaley, I like a lot of the demo versions better than the album versions. overall, its a good album, but I was disappointed that they changed the songs & I was especially disappointed that they did not include "comin' around" on the cd because that's their best song

This song to me is about doing it with a girl who is underage examples- "won't be seventeen forever", "this is so wrong but who am i judge", and "you are young and I am scared, you are wise beyond your years but I don't care"

Thats what it means to me.

it's about an underage girl, no doubt about it! "You won't be seventeen forever" ..saying that she won't be seventeen for much longer, that she'll be EIGHTEEN and so it will be legal. eep.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
