This song has a 50's vibe to it. Lullaby"ish" in a way. Cool song.

This song cuts deep into the heart of anyone who has love and lost, or is still in love with someone who doesn't reciprocate. It's about grieving but moving on "life is long" wonderful sound.

"Life is long". You dont hear that much, but after listening to this song I am forced to agree with Ray Lamontagne. His song is sad but it seems like the length of life has allowed him to accept his loss.

This song reminds me of my grandparents my nana just died from cancer and my papa loved her so much he just relized how much too late. "There was a time when we were young I used to make her laugh But life is long, my love has gone away from me" She was young and she still had life in her to be lived.

"Lately I can't seem to find myself no sleep at all Lately I just lie awake and hear and dream Of the time when she was mine" Felt like I had it all" when she died he didn't get a lick of sleep, b/c she wasn't there beside him
