Bananas and Blow Lyrics
"Sorry, boy, to leave you high and dry,
but I went to see my mom in Ensenada,
and I left a little something to help the time go by
Just a little something to help to keep you high"
Stuck in my cabana, living on Bananas & Blow
The way she danced, the color of her hair
Now I'm locked inside a stall at the cantina
Eating the bananas and the cocaine off the mirror
Looking for a ticket to take me away from here
Stuck in my cabana, living on Bananas & Blow
Stuck in my cabana, living on Bananas & Blow

this song gets funnier every time i listen to it. i find myself singing it at the most inopportune of times.

This song is no deeper or meaningful than this dude Sancho leaving this other dude some coke and a buncha bananas in the cabin...and it's fuckin' hilarious, especially the sing songy chorus!

deaner wrote this when he was visiting the carribean because, he said, "i ate a lot of bananas and blow..."

The meaning is self explanatory like the others said. But I'll add that they said this song was inspired by an invitation to play a gig in Ecuador, and admitted that this is one of their many tracks where the song title came first before they wrote it.

ssoltero: That's the feeling I got too - the Fat Man locking his cabana boy-whore up while he visited his mother, but kindly leaving him copious amounts of bananas. And blow.
Maria better not be waiting.

Incredible.

Ahhh, what a fantastic song! It's best to play it while just lounging around in the sun.

I feel that this song pretty much speaks for itself. Groovy.

yes an obvious jab at Jimmy Buffet...

Does anyone else get this slight "Coke whore" feeling out of this song?
I mean, he's talking about being in a bathroom stall "eating bananas and cocaine off the mirror". Sounds like he's suckin a little d**k to get more blow and he want's out.
