Blame it on the Tetons. Yeah, I need a scapegoat now.
No my dog won't bite you, though it had the right to.
You oughta give her credit 'cause she knows I would've let it happen.

Blame it on the weekends. God I need a cola now.
Oh we mumble loudly, wear our shame so proudly.
Wore our blank expressions, trying to look interesting.
Blame it all on me 'cause God I need a cold one now.

All them eager actors gladly taking credit
For the lines created by the people tucked away from sight
Is just a window from the room we're bound to.
If you find a way out, oh would you just let me know how?
Would you just let me know how?

Blame it on the web but the spider's your problem now.
Language is for liquid that we're all dissolved in.
Great for solving problems, after it creates a problem.
Blame it on the Tetons. God, I need a scapegoat now.

Everyone's a building burning
With no one to put the fire out.
Standing at the window looking out,
Waiting for time to burn us down.
Everyone's an ocean drowning
With no one really to show how.
They might get a little better air
If they turned themselves into a cloud.

My first ever post on this site!!

Blame it on the Tetons (Indians tribe, a tribe) Yeah, I need a scapegoat now No, my dog won't bite you Though it had the right to You ought to give her credit Because she knows I would've let it happen (Yeah I could bite the hand that feeds me but I won't even though I have the right to: who feeds the MM band..the label the record industry these days)

Blame it on the weekends God, I need a cola now Oh, we mumble loudly Wear our shame so proudly Wore our blank expressions Trying to look interesting Blame it all on me because God, I need a cold one now (MM is maybe saying sure blame it on the crazy weekends, like a parent the label may be saying don't party so much, but it's like this man we are doing what we do that's why you signed MM but go ahead blame it on us....and yet give us free booze and shit supported tours by the beer companies)

All them eager actors Gladly taking credit for the lines created By the people tucked away from sight Is just a window from the room we're bound to If you find a way out Oh, would you just let me know how? Would you just let me know how? (sure take credit for the hard work MM has done over the years before the industry had the hand on them, now we need to fit into a box that works for the label..let me know how to get out of this contract...but yet we MM may know we can't make as much without, MM the tribe has mouths to feed/shelter/cloth)

Blame it on the web But the spider's your problem now Language is the liquid That we're all dissolved in Great for solving problems After it creates a problem Blame it on the Tetons God, I need a scapegoat now (now the songs and videos are on the web, youtube and or napster and the industry is hurting so they blame the losses on these new "problems" yet they don't look at the problem that it could be helpful then they do use the problem to help their gains and but through all that fighting MM the tribe maybe thinking why don't they realize who can own the rights to words, lyrics, music etc..)

Everyone's a building burning With no one to put the fire out Standing at the window looking out Waiting for time to burn us down Everyone's an ocean drowning With no one really to show how They might get a little better air If they turned themselves into a cloud (everyone is burning everyone man.. the industry, the internet, the fans, the band...{burning both in meaning to the copying music and slang to burn someone} but does anyone really know how to survive or live without all this shit, maybe MM needs to lighten up says the Industry so to get more airtime on the radio.... and that would be good for all, oh but would it, maybe thinks MM that the industry should lighten up about what they perceive as better)

[So the tribe being MM is only trying to survive and all they are doing and wanting is to survive by doing what they love, playing music together, but all this other shit gets into the way thus it eventually gets into the process of their music and they sing about it, like a poet who writes in ways so those in power may not get??]

MM is an awesome band and I have no idea if this is what they meant by this song but I spent all drunken Sunday thinking about it! Till next time thanks for reading.. Peace scapegoat WallsTV

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.
