To get on the bus that takes me to you (Too much, Magic Bus)
I'm so nervous, I just sit and smile (Too much, Magic Bus)
You house is only another mile (Too much, Magic Bus)
You'll be an inspector, have no fear (Too much, Magic Bus)
I don't want to cause no fuss (Too much, Magic Bus)
But can I buy your Magic Bus? (Too much, Magic Bus)
I wanna drive my bus to my baby each day (Too much, Magic Bus)
Thruppence and sixpence every day
Just to drive to my baby
Thruppence and sixpence each day
'Cause I drive my baby every way
I said, now I've got my Magic Bus (Too much, Magic Bus)
I drive my baby every way (Too much, Magic Bus)
Each time I go a different way (Too much, Magic Bus)
As I drive my baby in my Magic Bus (Too much, Magic Bus)

Pete hates this song, mainly because people are always asking him to play it. So I was cracking up when The Who were on the Simpsons and Homer was like, 'Play magic Bus!!!'

People, i know it may seem like it is about drugs, why does every song always have to be Drugs? I like the romantic interpretation of this song much better, and thats what i think about when i listen to it. A guy lives far from his girl, and takes a bus to go see her. One day, he gets sick of taking a bus, and decides to buy the bus. He argues with the driver, then finally gets it. The 'dust' is whats kicked up as he drives towards his girl. Now, isn't that more fun to think about when you hear this song?

I think it's about a guy -- maybe a teen too young to have a driver's license -- who gives an ordinary bus a sense of enchantment because it takes him to his sweetheart's town, and he fantasizes about buying the bus and driving it to his sweetheart's without relying on drivers and schedules and all that happy crappy

did you ever imagine that you had a magic car that could sweep you to place to place in the the air? well thats what i think this is a magic bus that could take you anywhere in the world. however the singer want only to be taken to his girl...maybe he can't drive yet. but he's hoping when the bus comes to take him she is waiting for him.

I think this song is one of the first songs where Entwhistle's bass playing could be heard well. He plays that monster like beautiful woman and you can tell he's the master behind the orchestration of this song. Without him, the Who would be nothing!

" My little sister, who hates The Who because I like them was like, "ooh who sings this song?" and I told her and I don't think she likes it anymore though, but maybe seceretly. "
You should have just told her "Yes", and started a variant on the "Who's on First" bit.

Magic Bus! ONE of he greatest pshycadellic songs of alllllllll time.

Great romantic tune as well...

i think this is a great song, maybe one of their best. it has a nice rhythm and tune

Is this guy tripping out on acid while riding on the bus to his sweetheart? Or is it about a guy tripping out on a bus on his way to Austin Power's pad? I don't know what it means for sure but it seems that a bus must be involved in the thick of things.
