Guys.........The meaning of this song.....and the feeling it gives me, is so clear. For almost 2 years i was a heroin addict, i was miserable, often going through withdrawls, almost died a few times, i cannot describe in words the pain and suffering ive felt....but this song does. To me this song describes the struggle i had inside me in order to quit.....i have been clean for 3 months now....and it seems the words fit perfectly This song describes the withdrawl......how badly i needed someones help........how many times i asked myself if im strong enough.....the last verse describes the act of shooting up....and ends with "limbs tied....skin tight" I know not too many people know about heroin and its withdrawl, or the sickness, but i believe its so important to be aware of, its not like any other drug, when ur sick u feel like you need it to live, like air or water..... Also the term wasteland is often used to describe a heroin addict. |

| I remember when i first heard this song, i pictured a lonely old man making himself a woman out of clay or something. He took something out of himself in his own mind to give her a personality. But then it came to me, she doesnt need to be molded from clay. Sometimes when people become attracted to each other they really are meant for each other, they just dont fit together. This song gives me the impression that instead of giving up, he creates his own version of her in his head. i disagree with the swear word topic. I think Corey did an excellent job writing lyrics for this new album. I mean, I love Slipknot, but bands that just fill their albums with curses have no creativity. In my opinion, have too many profanities is "selling out". Bands out there need to learn how to stay heavy, stay metal, but learn how to express themselves, and have a valid point by the way...this is a sweet album!!! |

I remember going to a concert well before XIII was released, JMann said they had wrote a slow song for everyone to dance to, and asked for everyone to grab a partner and dance.....and then they played this song |

| i totally disagree with b182degenerate about mushroomhead being sell-outs. They are everything but sell-outs. XIII is a great example of how mushroomhead can write beautiful yet brutal songs. Just listening to the CD from beginning to end it is so obvious that they are all full of so much talent. The reason XIII sounds different from all their other stuff is because they include more of their musical influences than in the past. They aren't trying to sound like "metal" or "rock". they just write music the way it comes to them. Listening to Jeffery Nothing's former band "Hatrix" and youll find that it sounds kinda similar to XIII | |
