The Fall – Fiery Jack Lyrics 10 years ago
Correct that incorrect lyric please. It should be
"I sat and drank for three decades"
Which means, as he is 45, he started drinking at 15.

The Fall – Spoilt Victorian Child Lyrics 10 years ago
I suspect this may be about Charles Lutwidge Dodgson and his 'pedia' obsession with Alice Pleasance Liddell who was unquestionably a Victorian child.

Right Said Fred – I'm Too Sexy Lyrics 10 years ago
"I'm a model, you know what I mean"
Means he is a RENT BOY aka male prostitute advertising himself euphemistically as a 'model' hence the knowing wink of 'you know what I mean' otherwise there'd be no need for the 'you know what I mean' if you know what I mean.

Townes Van Zandt – Loretta Lyrics 10 years ago
The first line should be "... MY barroom girl" not "... A barroom girl" as in some cover versions. Townes always uses "MY" implying a more intimate relationship than "A" which can seem demeaning and dismissive.

Also sometimes Townes follows the line "I can have her anytime" with "she can have me anytime" which I prefer, it's a more reciprocal equal deal and takes away the element of macho boasting.

Just a couple of details to help keep the sweet and loving intentions of the lyric on track. Thank you
