just heard the song for the first time and i have to say it's just awesome i'm a huge lp fan and for me the catalyst doesn't sound a lot like the old lp stuff but though it's great i can't wait to hear the whole album to the meaning of the song i'd say that it's about the people living now we've done a lot of things that are bad for everyone like war, destroying the environment and stuff like that but we're too powerful to be outfought so we just keep doing bad things that's why we really need god's blessing that the people are able to live on earth in the future i think the songs is supposed to make the poeple think about all that and to realize that we have to stop destroying everything including ourselves |

i absolutely agree with idance5678 it perfectly fits to the whole twilight saga for me it sounds like the song is written out of bella's point of view just to clarify it a bit for those who are not so familiar with the story: other lives always tempted to trade... bella's biggest wish is to become a vampire and she would do everything to get changed. it also reminds me a bit of rosalie's life because she never wanted to be a vampire and would have done everything to have the choice between a human life and a life as a vampire Will they hate me for all the choices I made... especially this is related to jacob because bella is afraid of loosing him because he is against her becoming a vampire Will they stop when they see me again... again she wonders what other people will think of her when she's a vampire I can't stop now I know who I am... she's absolutely sure that she wants to be a vampire and that this is the best life for her Now I'm all yours, you're all mine... shows her endless love for edward and his love for her and all my life starts now... her second life, the life as a vampire with edward, starts when she becomes a vampire, which is now They can't take you out of my thoughts... again this shows her love towards edward Under every scar there's a battle I've lost... she can't start a new life without losses which is that she can't see her family and friends again. it could also refer to the battle with james in twilight from which she has her scar |
