Manic Street Preachers – Archives of Pain Lyrics

Also it just dawned on my the other day - if the Manic Street Preachers had "death sentence heritage" featured on their shirts and in Repeat, they probably didn't support the death penalty. |

The point of the song is that the desire to kill a murderer is no different than the desire to kill in itself. Promoting capital punishment is just going to promote more violence - like murder. |

Manic Street Preachers – Born A Girl Lyrics

I can see how it can be applied to transsexualism, but I interpreted that he wants to be a girl because he wants to be accepted by a society that frowns upon feminine males, not because he feels that he is the wrong gender. That's why he calls himself a "mess of a man" because he is not what society expects of men. |

Oingo Boingo – Little Girls Lyrics

What makes this song so great is that it could be applied to so many parts of the media and society. The first thing that came to mind when I heard the lyrics were the fashion and sex industries, but unfortunately there are countless other examples of young girls being exploited you could use. |

Rihanna – S&M Lyrics

She's basically saying she likes pushing the edge and being taboo in the media's eyes. Making this song about S&M is an example of this. The media is the sadist and Rihanna is the masochist. |

The Offspring – Pretty Fly (For a White Guy) Lyrics

I always thought the 13 tattoo was referencing MS-13. The tattoo of a 13 is a way for him to make it look like he's related to gangs in some way and make him 'gangster', but by getting a 31 it just makes him look even more stupid since it has no real meaning. |
