The Horrors are tanfastic.
To me it's simply about a guy being obsessed with a girl because she's unreachable, untouchable etc and she sort of eludes him and when he finally can be with her she's just normal and he's over it. |

To me, it speaks pretty loudly about the life of young people in society.
As someone about to go into thier final year of schooling at a hypocritical private school who cares only about thier own status and how far they can push us to get thier ideal 100 UAI in the HSC this song just seems to describe our life of being bullied by some teachers on power trips...it also reminded me of a girl in her final year suiciding, and constantly we're reminded of university and so on it seems sad that our life is minimised to sitting in a classroom all day.
But that's just my view, either way it's a great song. |

I've never hated or loved Yellowcard, but this song is really..pretty?
It's quite obvious, basically I think it's based on a guy who is in love with a girl who has recently got her heart broken, basically he's trying to express what he would do to protect her, to prove she IS loved.
She could also be "broken" because she has low self esteem, and it doesn't only have to be about love, close friendship could also suffice.

I love this song. It's amazing how MCR can continue to bring out original, powerful songs from beginning to end on EVERY album so far, and they DO rock.
And ASDFQ I agree, I mean no band is "hard". All bands have deep songs, love songs, sad songs, suicidal songs etc. When they write songs, they're not ALWAYS going to be feeling like they have to kill themselves or that they need to murder people. |

Wow! I never knew the Killers songs were so...sinister! Lol...hence the name I guess. I can't wait until the movie comes out! But, did anyone ever think, that maybe since they were walking on a "promenade" near the water, he "couldn't scream while he held her close and swore he'd never let her go" meant maybe he was having a joke with her and holding her close to the edge and pushed her in, and she drowned? |
