glad to hear they at least credit king crimson, but there is no way they just "happened" to make this song so similar. First time I heard it I thought it was a straight cover song. I like this song a lot regardless, but if they didn't mean to steal it completely, they had to have stolen it subconciously. |

even if it's a "fake" this is still a tool album and a damn good one- after only hearing vicarious I left the possibility open as well, but this collection of songs is new cd quality regardless of what it is or isn't labeled |

this song is about the sun slowly burning out on the martians time because the martians were horrible enviormentalist and polluted the entire solar system and since they're gone and we're all that's left the sun is just taking out it's revenge on us...the song was supposed to be called israel's sun but the writing wasn't clear and it was printed the wrong way so they just let it be |

the third period line is one of the worst ever..no bones about it...for their own sake I hope they were referring to hockey where the third PERIOD is actually the end of the game....Hopefully whoever wrote this song will at least learn that quarter (1/4th) means there are four to make a whole. That said, even if the lyrics were 4th quarters it's a horrible analogy |

sausage- your view is wrong simply because all animals/people have natural instincts....according to your little theory any of these instincts block free will and therefore mean we're not actually free....we'd have to be born tabula rosa (clean slate) to have actual free will and that theory goes out the window even quicker than organized religion...I'd love to hear how your philosophy accounts for ANY natural instincts...technically ADDING an instinct of compassion for other or something along those lines wouldn't be any more controlling than the compassion to fuck others (literally and figuratively) |
