this song's good and a couple of the other ones are but personally, i think this is their weakest album in a while. and i'm not one of you bitches complaining about them being popular. how can "fans" be so damn selfish? how about you write isaac brock saying "hey bud, could you remain poor and unheard of by the mainstream crowd so that i can pretend i'm more unique than the next person? thanks, my individuality is all i've got." wah wah wah.
but back to black, this album isn't nearly as solid as the moon and antartica and not really as memorable as almost any of their other stuff. float on's a great song but none of the others really impressed me. satin in a coffin was good but i thought songs like dance hall and bury me with it were repetitive and uninspiring. the album has it's moments but it's far from my favorite modest mouse album. a little disappointed but whatev. |

if you're looking for a band like les savy fav, you should check out the detatchment kit if you can. and pleasure forever is a different style from ATDI but their lyrics are about just as good, and the music is some of the best i've heard. they used to be the vss which somebody mentioned earlier. awesome band. |

refused was awesome. text is an amazing band. and whoever said rancid was "incredable" needs to expand their horizens. i used to hate refused because i thought they were just some dumb punk band. but after listening to new noise i started getting into a lot of their other stuff and realizing that they were much more and that if their music really was "the shape of punk to come" then punk might not suck as bad in the future. unfortunetly, we've had no such luck. at least there's text. |
