At the time Mark wrote this beautifull song, he lived in Farrer House, Deptford. John Illsley and Mark's brother David also lived there. This was in 1977. On the building is a sign that they first played there. I've been there two years ago. Therefore I think that the pub mentioned in the song was not far from home, like in Greenwich Park (the park where it was raining).
