@[Belljar84:29236] , your interpretation nailed it. I always think that this song is about suicide and just like Jesus, he got some last words for our Father in heaven. He felt like he was forsaken by God, but he still want to commend his spirit to God. Although going into heaven is impossible if you kill yourself. You sum it up and elaborate it better, and thank you for your very nice interpretation. |

Slipknot – Vermilion, Pt. 2 Lyrics

I think this song is about loving someone who can’t be yours no matter what. When this kind of love strikes, this will define your whole life. Your happiness and loneliness will depend on how you feel towards that person. I believe that from the very beginning of this kind of love, happiness is never felt. Instead it’s all about torment and pain. Your world revolves around thinking how to have that person with you. But you know to yourself that being with that person is really impossible. So all you can do is have an imaginary world, where the two of you can be together. But this kind of remedy will hurt your soul like no other. Because this is a dream that will never ever be true. Saying that “she’s a myth that I have to believe in”, is like saying that believing into impossible. And the line “she’s isn’t real, I can’t make her real” for me it is the imaginary world that he creates, hoping that he can live that way. But the worst thing is that he really can’t live that way. |
