@[Groveling:26525] What you said was liberal and free spirited and all of those punk things. But for you to ridicule everyone, and then bank on the disbelief in race?? That’s just stupid. Race is very well a thing. It’s science. It’s apparent. It’s visual. You are not me. I am not you. I can see it. You can feel it. We can dissect it. But it shouldnt get in the way of equality. Your comments leave very little hope for society. You’re saying that people are generally bad. Though fucked up shit happens, I believe people want good for humanity. This song is about an American experience. And here in America, there are reasons why songs like this and “Fuck the police” are created. And the God awful truth of it is, it’s because of what whites did. Whites created this mess. And this song points out the fact that he had nothing to do with what his great grand pops did. That is an argument for another day. But this isn’t about your bred idea of how people are. That’s your opinion. Facts are facts. He’s saying it’s fucked up how society is because of what happened. We all, but minorities especially are simply responding with, “boo-hoo”. The song is good or whatever. But I’ll leave it out of my playlist. Not knocking the validity. I just don’t want to hear it. |

I think his feelings are valid. He should feel criminalized just as I, a black man feels. He gets blamed for the actions of his people. Most of you don’t know what it’s like to have a mother and her child cross the street because they just happen to be in my way to work. I doubt you can really understand how it feels to have to cross the street nowadays to not freak out people. White, Hispanic, etc. I think truth is powerful though. There’s reasons society is like this. I think whites do owe a debt to African Americans. What they put us through, long, long, long, after slavery should have consequences. If you open your eyes, you’d see that they pretty much destroyed our foundations and left us to build some kind of structure for competing in this white, capitalist society. But in return, I understand that black culture is pretty bad now. We do a lot of shit that just doesn’t make sense for a functioning society. And I must live with that notation. But then again, wth do you expect after being treated so poorly by your own country?? Just as whites should do, we blacks need to correct the faults of our people. That’s how any group of beings should work. Anyways. We all need to be held accountable for our actions as different peoples in the same nation. That’s the only way we can address, and then fix the problems. |
