I think that maybe now, he's just a few years out of college and in the business world, and desperately trying to psych himself up for something important. He knows that he is inadequate in his job and is telling himself how great he once was, hoping that maybe he'll convince himself that he's still that person that succeeded on the high school football field and can therefore succeed in business. Deep down, he believes otherwise, which is why he says, " I'm Mr. November" with so much desperation. |
