System of a Down – Chop Suey! Lyrics 13 years ago
Shadowspawn... you basically explained a huge part of Hinduism. Brahman can be metaphorically described as an ocean of souls, and every individual soul is a drop in this ocean that will eventually reunite with Brahman and then (through the belief of reincarnation) reincarnate into, most likely, a greater creature. For example, cricket to frog, frog to fox, fox to monkey, monkey to human. Then, assuming the existence of extraterrestrial life greater than humans, going on to them. That's why a lot of Indians are vegetarians. They don't want to eat a part of Brahman. I don't know everything for sure, it's wierd. But I do know that basic sense of it, and it sounds like this cosmic humanism is nothing but an Agnostic (?) belief in that it is an easy way out and the easiest way to fit in with everyone and not be apart. To ne, Agnosticisim is nothing but laziness. Either pick a side, or get off the fence because the fence is getting torn down real soon!

Disturbed – The Night Lyrics 13 years ago
Wow. !I! personally believe all of that stuff. It could mean anything, and everything, and that's the beauty of Disturbed and the magnificence of music in general. It's like Psalms(which would make an AWESOME name for another song, no matter you are!)

Disturbed – The Night Lyrics 13 years ago
The night, in a third way, could mean darkness for a soul. Like if you pressure a kid too much as a parent, they rebel. So, in rebellion(??), they turn bad. Drugs, alcohol, sex, skipping classes, failing...taboo. I don't know if that's it, i haven't looked at the song enough. But i do know that Disturbed is metaphorically that girl in your class that you think parties every night and is really easy to get, but when you get to talking to her you find that she's really a sweet christian girl with good moral values and that she just doesn't give a flying crap about what others think. So, Disturbed lets critics say what they want and tell them they're satanic, when, really, they sing of neutral if not good things in the world. "Demonic dreams," as in Asylum, only refer to nightmares Draiman has had. Disturbed, with their nonchalant attitude to criticism even though they're doing nothing wrong, have really won my heart over and are #1 to me.

Disturbed – Sacrifice Lyrics 13 years ago
While this is true, DeeBeeEmm, it's possible that that part of the song is complimenting how your attitude drastically changes toward whoever betrayed you.

Once someone betrays you, you label them as just that: a traitor. Your dark side is then shown to that person and they see just how "mean" or "evil" you can be.

"You awoke him, now he will feed
On the lies"

Explains the betrayal. Basically, "you" caused this to happen. Now the darker side will feed on the lies to survive snd thrive, meaning everytime the narrator even thinks about being nice again, the Mr. Hyde part of him says "remember the lies. let me out."

I agree with Avarice. ITS SPAM TO CALL PEOPLE IDIOTS. What are you, 12? Jeez, man, calm down! It is a plague on all lyric sites to see people cursing other people for a difference in opinion, interpretation, or knowledge. -1

Disturbed – I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For (U2 cover) Lyrics 13 years ago
Wow. I can't believe that. Oh well. It may be because you haven't given it a chance. Disturbed showed in that album they aren't all about heavy rock + killing people.

In my opinion, Down With the Sickness is actually not a very good song at all. It's just the screamo that makes it cool to jocks and all that. I'm a mix of everything- gamer, jock, prep. I have goth/emo friends but i don't dress that way.

And I LOVE Disturbed. The Asylum album changed my life (kinda). It is just so emotional. every song has to do with something that has happened in life for either Draiman(mostly) or another member.
